Duration: 55 Minutes
Washington was one of the first epicenters in the US for the COVID-19 outbreak. As the number of positive cases increased, routine activities were disrupted and blood donations decreased dramatically.
Hear Dr. Monica Pagano review the response during the first weeks of the pandemic taken by the hospital and transfusion services. She will discuss how through rapid enforcement of protocols, open and direct communications and by continually monitoring resources and adapting the response, the network was able to maintain adequate blood supply for the community.
This recorded program includes the 20 minute Q&A session that followed the live event.
