The small but sophisticated instrument can connet to pharmacy management systems as well as electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Sofia 2 analyzer also comes with the power of Virena® System, a Cloud-based system that allows your organization to transmit and share testm quality control and calibration results in near real-time.

QuickVue® Rapid Lateral Flow Tests
For over 40 years, QuickVue® Rapid Lateral Flow Tests have provided a test that is visually read while producing results in minutes, allowing for faster diagnosis and treatment. The QuickVue product portfolio has continued to deliver quality results that are well-suited for pharmacy. QuickVue products encompass areas of infectious disease, women’s health and general health.
QuidelOrtho has several data management options available with Sofia 2 analyzer.
- On-board data management: Ability to store up to 1,000 tests (FIFO) as well as data expansion with a USB drive. This automatic data storage capability may support your documentation requirements or provide a backup system to your current documentation protocols.
- Sofia 2 analyzer can interface with EMR and laboratory information systems (LIS). This enables automated result transmission, decreasing the risk of transcription errors with manual result entry.
- Sofia 2 analyzer can interface with Workflow Services to digitize and streamline the entire pharmacy diagnostic workflow from patient intake to the backend workflow.
- Patient de-identified data: Virena system, a wireless data management system, provides access to the entire network of Sofia 2 instruments, facilitating quality control monitoring, inventory management and disease progression analysis. Virena system is automatically included on the instrument and can be turned on or off. It is not mandatory, but it can coexist with EMR connectivity.
- Wi-Fi: Ability to connect to Wi-Fi allowing for automatic system updates with no operator intervention.
- Barcode scanner: Integrated barcode scanner streamlines the testing process by allowing for positive patient ID further decreasing the opportunity for a transcription error.
- Peripherals: Connects to a peripheral printer allowing you to print results if needed or required.
Workflow Services partnership
QuidelOrtho works with Workflow Services by ImageMover to offer a digitized pharmacy point-of-care testing workflow. With ImageMover there is minimal paper, scanning or data entry.
